Very few times in club design can you say a true barrier has been broken. Opus Platinum is a true leap forward in wedge technology, fusing advancements from metal injection molding (MiM), and tungsten for launch control. MiM Construction has opened the door for Callaway to deliver precision in wedge construction like never before, to dial in touch and feel where players need it. Tungsten has been incorporated into the topline bringing the flight lower for more control and spin into greens.

Mim Construction For Precise Feel
Opus Platinum has been designed through mental injection molding (MiM), using a proprietary blend of metals to precisely dial in performance and feel. This delivers the ultimate in wedge performance, deserving of the Opus Platinum name.
Bonded Tungsten For A Lower, More Controlled Flight
By using tungsten high in the topline, we're able to give players a shot that will naturally launch lower providing more control and spin into the green.
Spin Gen Face Technology For Tour Level Spin
Spin Gen Face Technology provides spin and control in your wedges by combining 3 key elements on the face; an all-new tighter pitch which puts more grooves on the face, offset groove-in-groove for spin when opening the face, and a new aggressive face blast providing spin and bite on partial shots. These three elements work in conjuction to provide a crisp, tour level spin.
Tour Certified Shaping
Opus wedges are the most Tour-tested, Tour-validated shapes in Callaway history. A higher toe peak, radius in the leading edge, and easier hosel transitions make Opus our best wedge shape ever.

Our proprietary HydraZip face technology features a dynamic blast and laser-milled line system to enhance surface friction, maximizing spin consistency in wet or dry conditions, and from anywhere around the green.
ANY CONDITION. MAX SPIN.
For CBX 4, three different blast media and laser-milled line patterns are used. Due to their lower lofts, the 44°–48° Wedges need less of a rough face blast and less lines to maximize spin performance. The 50°–52° Wedges, with their slightly higher lofts, get a slightly rougher blast and more lines. And the 54°–60° Wedges, with their highest lofts, receive the roughest blast and the most lines to increase friction and improve consistency.
ZIPCORE
ZipCore technology works in concert with CBX 4's cavity back design—reducing vibrations while also boosting MOI—for increased feel, control, consistency, and forgiveness. ZipCore replaces heavier steel in the hosel and heel with an ultra lightweight yet strong, vibration dampening material. Mass is repositioned across the toe and high on the face for an abundance of MOI and a CG right where you strike the ball.
ULTIZIP
UltiZip face technology produces a specialized sequence of sharper, deeper, and tighter grooves to provide ultimate short-game spin, control, consistency, and bite. Sharper grooves let you slice through grass and debris. Deeper grooves create space for grass, sand, dirt, or water to evacuate the impact zone. Tighter grooves offer more serious bite and better edge contact. Plus, since they're tighter, we added even more heel-to-toe grooves than the norm.
THREE GRINDS, MADE EASY
With CBX 4 ZipCore Wedges, we make the sole grind selections for you. By pre-selecting each grind by loft, it's the easiest way to get just the right performance, right where you need it. Plus, all three sole grinds also feature a new leading-edge bounce chamfer to help the Wedge quickly get in and out of the turf from a variety of greenside attack angles, reducing chunks.
