Chetak laid down his life in this battle and since then has been immortalized in the folklore of India. The Indian Chetak Series is our humble tribute to the faithful and courageous horse Chetak. This superlative chess set "The Indian Chetak II" in Staunton pattern, is made of bud rosewood and boxwood. The pieces are heavily weighted and even exceed the triple-weight classification. The King proudly stands at 4.2 inches and its base is a robust 1.9 inches. Dark chess pieces are exquisitely crafted in bud rosewood. Because of its rarity, bud rosewood chess pieces are the primary choice of many chess enthusiasts. Bud Rose Wood is an alluring wood and probably the most admired wood for luxury chess sets.
