The Classic 101 Series in Staunton pattern, is made up of bud rose wood and boxwood. The King proudly stands at 3.0 inches and its base is robust 1.3 inches. The dark chess pieces are made of bud rose wood and the opposing pieces are made up of boxwood which is traditionally used for white side. The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. Chess pieces have leather base pads which precisely envelops the base of each chess men for smooth movement on the chess board. The chess pieces are well-crafted and represent the highest grade of knight carving skills that our Indian artisans have to offer.
