Now we've something new for chess collectors community. Presenting you the Romanian-Hungarian National Tournament Chess Set. Some chess collectors felt that the base of King & queen in our previous lot was inadequate, so we heard to our customer’s opinion and respected their verdict by increasing the base width of king & queen. The Wider base gives the better stability while playing speed chess. Now the King proudly stands at 3.85" tall with a base diameter of 1.57". The dark chess pieces are made of pitch black ebonized boxwood. The opposing pieces are made of natural boxwood which is traditionally used for white side. It is one of the fairly easy woods to work with and shows off aesthetic detail. They are meticulously handcrafted from the finest grade wood and polished by hand to give it a rich and long lasting shine. For superior protection against scratches and dirt, we've shielded the pieces with buff-polish instead of lacquer finish.

The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. King, Queens, Bishops, and Pawns have unique rings and thick green felts, which precisely envelops the base of each chessmen for smooth movement on the chess board. The Knights are well-crafted and represent the highest grade of knight carving skills that our Indian artisans have to offer.
Wooden Chess Board
This beautiful Board is made of Ebony Wood on darker side and box wood on the lighter side.
The size of the Board is 19" x 19" (48 cm x 48 cm) with square size of 2.0" x 2.0" (50 mm x 50 mm). The Board is 22 mm thick.
